Who is responsible

ElitePhoneHub is operated by Arash Malekzad, an individual based in the Netherlands and the controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

Website access and security

When you visit this website, technical information such as your IP address, requested pages, browser information and request times is processed to deliver the website, diagnose problems and protect it against abuse.

We use Hostinger for hosting and Cloudflare for DNS, proxied website traffic and security. These services process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure website, preventing misuse and investigating technical or security incidents.

Country detection and deal searches

We use the country code supplied by Cloudflare to suggest a delivery country. You can change this selection. This feature uses country-level information rather than your device’s precise GPS location.

Your selected delivery country, search filters and any optional delivery postcode you enter are used to request relevant offers and shipping or delivery estimates from eBay. The postcode is sent to eBay with the destination context of those requests. Country detection or a supplied postcode does not guarantee that a seller delivers to your address or that estimates match the final checkout amount.

The postcode is optional. The offer tools share an applied destination with other offer widgets and the search tool on the current page. This feature does not add a postcode cookie or save the postcode in local or session storage. Changing the delivery country clears the previous postcode; browser autofill is controlled separately by your browser.

Destination information can be present in temporary server-side search context and shipping caches so that results for different destinations are kept separate. Our custom offer and choice-helper Analytics events do not include the postcode. General website and service records remain subject to the access, security and retention information in this policy.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing relevant comparisons and responding to your search choices.

Messages and enquiries

If you contact us, we process your email address, any name you provide and the contents of your message to respond and handle related questions.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and maintaining relevant correspondence. Where a request concerns your data protection rights, we also process the information necessary to meet our legal obligations.

Please do not send payment card details, identity documents or other sensitive information unless specifically necessary and requested.

Choice helper and returning to an offer

When you use the choice helper, your selected preferences are used to suggest models and request matching offers. The helper is separate from the AI chat. Searches and filters can be used without optional audience measurement.

If you request the install-and-return feature for the eBay app, the plugin temporarily keeps the selected listing’s ID, title, link and page context in this browser tab’s session storage. The feature treats that record as expired after one hour and clears it when its expiry check runs or when you dismiss it. The browser can also clear it when ending the tab session; restored sessions may preserve browser storage until checked.

The purpose and legal basis are to provide the functional feature you request, based on our legitimate interest in responding to that request. App Store, Google Play and eBay process visits or app activity under their own notices after you follow their links.

Google Analytics and Site Kit

We use Google Analytics, connected through Google Site Kit, to understand how visitors use the website. Analytics may process device and browser information, pages viewed, interactions, referral sources, approximate location and online identifiers.

With the relevant Analytics consent, this can include choice-helper starts and completions, selected phone models, result states, delivery-country selections and clicks to eBay offers. These measurements help us assess whether the tools return useful results. Refusing optional Analytics does not prevent ordinary use of the helper, searches or offer links.

Optional Analytics tracking is based on your consent. You can refuse or withdraw consent through our cookie preferences. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Google Site Kit connects this WordPress website to Google services; Google Analytics performs the audience measurement.

We use WPConsent to present cookie choices and remember your preferences. Information necessary to honour and, where applicable, demonstrate those choices is processed to comply with applicable consent requirements.

YouTube videos and short-video feeds

We display Apple’s official iPhone playlist and a selection of short videos from Apple’s YouTube channel through Captain Feed for YouTube. The short-video feed appears on the homepage and the video page. It can include Shorts and other short videos, including content about products other than iPhone.

Thumbnails and other external images can load from Google/YouTube servers. Those requests disclose technical connection information such as your IP address, browser details and the requested image. Playing a video can disclose additional device, playback and interaction information to Google/YouTube. If you are signed in to Google, that service may associate activity with your account under its own settings and notices.

We use WPConsent for website cookie choices and the blocking functions configured for external content. Optional tracking or browser storage that requires consent is permitted only with the relevant consent. Technical information needed to deliver content you request is also processed to provide that feature. Privacy-enhanced playback, where used, does not mean that no data is transferred.

Displayed view counts come from YouTube. They do not show how many people watched on ElitePhoneHub or prove that a product is suitable for you.

You can use our guides and offer tools without playing videos, change your choices through Cookie preferences, or open Apple on YouTube directly. Read Google’s Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy for more information.

Optional AI chat

The optional chatbot runs through AI Engine by Meow Apps and uses Google’s Gemini API. When you send a message, its content and the conversation context needed for a response are sent through our WordPress server to Google. Context can include earlier messages in the conversation and relevant website information. Google also processes the technical information needed to operate and secure its API.

The purpose is to answer the question you choose to ask. We rely on our legitimate interest in providing this requested optional assistance and protecting it against misuse. Any separate optional tracking or optional use requiring consent must have the relevant consent. The chat is not needed to use our guides, model finder or offer comparisons.

Do not submit payment details, passwords, identity documents, health information or other sensitive personal information. AI answers can be inaccurate and do not verify a seller’s device, guarantee a price or resolve an eBay order.

Conversation or technical records may be retained on our hosting where the chat’s discussion, history or diagnostic features are enabled. Closing the chat or rejecting Analytics is not a deletion request. We handle a request about chat data through the rights process below, taking account of records we can identify and applicable legal obligations.

Google’s handling of API inputs, outputs and technical records is governed by the applicable Gemini API terms , data processing terms and Google Privacy Policy . We do not promise that all processing stays within the EEA or that the provider retains no records.

If you enable “Remember this chat list”, the optional chat-history panel stores copies of messages and chat titles in this browser’s local storage. The list keeps up to 20 conversations. Records expire 30 days after their latest update and are removed when the history’s expiry check runs; this is not continuous background deletion. Without that option, the additional chat list is kept in page memory rather than saved by this feature.

You can turn remembering off or clear the list in the history panel. This only removes that browser copy; it does not delete saved AI Engine discussions or records held by Google. Other people using the same browser profile may be able to read a remembered list. The list is not a cross-device account history.

eBay links and external content

ElitePhoneHub participates in the eBay Partner Network. Affiliate links contain referral information so that qualifying purchases can be attributed to this website and a commission can be calculated.

Following a deal link takes you to eBay. Information processed by eBay and the relevant seller is subject to their own privacy notices and their responsibilities under applicable law.

Referral reports made available to us are used to reconcile commissions and administer our affiliate participation. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in maintaining accurate affiliate records and, where applicable, compliance with statutory record-keeping obligations.

Where listing images load directly from external servers, your browser sends technical information, including your IP address, to those servers to retrieve the images.

Meta Pixel and future advertising

Meta/Facebook Pixel is currently disabled on this website. If we introduce advertising measurement or remarketing later, we will update the relevant notices and obtain the required consent before that tracking is enabled. This paragraph does not mean that visitor information is currently sent through Meta Pixel. A service or cookie listed in the preferences panel does not by itself establish that the related tracking is running.

Who receives information

Depending on the feature used, recipients include Hostinger and its infrastructure providers, Cloudflare, Google (including Analytics, YouTube and Gemini services) and eBay. After an app-store link is followed, Apple or Google also processes that visit. Their roles depend on the service and processing involved; some act on our behalf and some also process information for their own purposes under their own notices.

Information may also be disclosed where necessary to comply with a legal obligation or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

International processing

Our providers use international infrastructure. Personal data may be processed outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Hosting a website in Europe does not necessarily mean that all related support, security or analytics processing takes place exclusively in Europe.

Cloudflare, Inc. describes its international transfer safeguards in its Data Processing Addendum. These include European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Google Analytics processing is subject to the applicable Google agreement and data processing terms. These terms describe the transfer mechanisms used for international processing, including Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy framework.

Hostinger’s processing of website visitor data is covered by its Data Processing Addendum. Processing locations depend on the hosting service, infrastructure and subprocessors involved.

How long information is kept

Retention depends on the type of information, its purpose and the service involved.

Contact messages

We retain correspondence while an enquiry is being handled and while it remains necessary for related follow-up, an unresolved complaint or a legal obligation. Once those purposes no longer apply, the correspondence should be deleted from the active mailbox and any separately stored contact-form records.

Google Analytics

• Event data: the configured retention period is 14 months for event data governed by that setting. This supports comparison of how visitors use the choice helper, model guides and offer tools over longer periods.
• User data: the configured retention period is 14 months. Google also applies this setting to key-event data.
• Reset on new activity: this setting is enabled. A new event from a user resets the retention period of that user’s identifier to 14 months from the new activity. Regularly returning users’ identifiers may therefore remain stored for longer than 14 months from their first visit.
• Aggregated reports: standard aggregated reports are not governed by these retention settings and may remain available longer.

Google processes expired Analytics data through its scheduled deletion cycle. These settings are separate from the expiry periods of Analytics cookies stored in your browser.

Hosting and security logs

Hostinger and Cloudflare process technical logs for website delivery, troubleshooting, security and abuse prevention. Retention varies by log type and service.

Hostinger’s Analytics dashboard provides a limited viewing window. That window is not a confirmed deletion deadline for the underlying server records. A single fixed deletion period for all Hostinger and Cloudflare logs used by this website has not been confirmed.

Locally stored website error logs may follow a separate retention process. Where records are retained to investigate a specific incident or handle a legal claim, the relevant purpose and applicable obligations determine how long those records are needed.

Website backups

Hostinger’s standard automated backup schedule for our Business hosting plan retains daily backups for 7 days and weekly backups for 6 weeks. Older copies are removed from the normal backup set when those periods expire.

Backups may contain personal data included in website files or databases. Deleting information from the live website does not immediately remove it from existing backups; a copy may remain until the relevant backup expires.

These periods describe Hostinger’s automated website backups. They do not establish deletion periods for separate provider logs, email storage or independently downloaded copies.

AI-chat information

AI Engine’s Discussions retention setting is configured to 90 days for saved discussions in the active website database, where discussion recording is enabled. The configured period is applied through the plugin’s cleanup process; closing the chat does not itself delete a saved discussion.

This setting does not automatically determine the retention of separate event or diagnostic logs, browser-stored conversation history, hosting backups or Google’s records. Where separate website diagnostic records are kept, they are retained only as needed to handle a support request, investigate a specific fault or security incident, or meet an applicable legal obligation. Backup copies follow the backup cycle described above.

Google applies the retention and security rules for the API service and terms used. Deleting a website record does not itself delete a record retained by Google. For a request about your chat data, contact us with enough non-sensitive context to help locate the conversation; do not send an identity document unless a proportionate verification step is specifically necessary.

YouTube and external services

Google/YouTube and external marketplace or app-store services apply their own retention rules to information they receive. Our browser cookie choices do not set those providers’ account-history or deletion settings. The optional browser-local chat list has the separate 20-conversation and 30-day limits described in the AI-chat section.

Cookie preferences and browser storage

Cookies and similar storage remain for the durations listed in our Cookie Policy , unless deleted earlier. Updating your preferences or subsequent activity may renew storage where the relevant service is configured to do so.

Affiliate and administrative records

Records are retained as necessary to reconcile commission payments, resolve related disputes and meet applicable statutory record-keeping requirements. Where a legal retention obligation applies, the relevant records are kept for that period.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions in applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent for processing based on consent.

Send requests to [email protected] . We may request proportionate information to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month. If a lawful extension is necessary, we will explain the reason within that initial period.

You may complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority or another competent data protection authority.

Information you choose to provide

You can refuse optional Analytics tracking. Providing contact details is voluntary, but we need a way to reply if you send an enquiry. Technical information necessary to deliver and secure the website is processed when you access it.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our processing or services change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
